How to secure your veil?

The last thing you want is to be adjusting your veil throughout the ceremony, photoshoot or the reception. Depending on the type of veil and your hair style we have the solution for you!

For a traditional style veil, Sahara Bridal’s go to is the trusty clear comb. This is based on a number of hair stylist’s recommendations. In the essence of being clear, the combs blend in well with your hair. We want the veil and your hair style on show - not the comb.

Our BIGGEST TIP  is to consult your hairstylist with your ideal hairstyle and type of Bridal Veil or Headband. The Stylist may have a preference for the type of comb. For instance if you plan to secure a veil underneath a low bun there are a few factors to consider. Which will depend on the volume of your hair and bun, width of the nap of your neck and the desired volume of the veil.

Check with your stylist if they think the best option is to slide the comb up towards the crown of your head and pin into place. Or if there is space underneath the bun to slide the comb down towards the nap of the neck, this is generally the more secure. If you are unsure we recommend opting for a metal comb as this can be worn either way.
