Sentimental Heirloom Veil
Danielle & Mitch
On a stunning October day Danielle and Mitch said I do too forever at the Old Broadwater Farm in Busselton. Backdrops of limestone built in the early 1800’s, a space that is rich with wildlife and loving touches.
Danielle wanted a sentimental touch by incorporating her mother’s own veil into her Wedding day.
We created a design that included the delicate embroidery from Danielle's mother veil and a mixed collection of beading to give a modern finish to the heirloom design.
Starting with our soft recycled bridal tulle, gently gathered to drape over Danielle’s beautiful up do hairstyle.
Our tulles are 100% recycled via the RPET process. This creates a high quality polyester fibre generated from recycled PET bottles, yarns and recycled polyester.
Creating a beautifully soft tulle for a contemporary bride. By recycling we can conserve natural resources and preserve our environment. For more information on the Bridal RPET tulle, head to our blog.
The next stage was carefully cutting out the embroidered edge of the heirloom veil. Mending sections of the embroidery that needed some extra attention. Slowly placing the embroidery on the new veil, ensuring the correct positioning.
This involved hours of hand stitching the embroidery to the tulle. The hand stitching was essential due to the delicate nature and the intricacy of the embroidery, as we wanted this to remain as the standout detail of the veil.
The beads were then positioned uniquely onto sections of the embroidery. Time for more hand stitching to attach over 100 beads.
Next, carefully trimming the edge of the tulle to match the scalloped edging of the embroidery. We performed the final checks to ensure it was perfect.
Danielle’s Veil was then packed with love, into our specialised veil box, including the care instructions and a custom veil hanger.
“Mum loved it - we both cried.
I received it in the mail and only had time for a peak once I got home. As soon as I saw the embroidery and soft tulle I cried! It still felt hugely sentimental but then also new and perfect at the same time. I showed mum before we started hair and makeup because I knew she would cry and she did tear up. Our getting ready photos were very rushed so I didn’t really get to see it properly but it felt so special wearing it ❤️
I would definitely recommend you to anyone who has the same idea of incorporating something old into their veil!” - Danielle, February 2025.
Danielle looked incredible wearing her heirloom Sahara Bridal Veil, matched with the Preston wedding dress by Luv Bridal.
Colour scheme of light pink florals and contrasting with the black bridesmaid dresses.
We are so happy that we could bring this heirloom veil to life. Such a beautiful sentiment to your mother. We wish you a lifetime of love Danielle & Mitch!
