The face behind the Veils

Sarah Haywood is the visionary behind Sahara Bridal and is passionate about creating beautiful pieces that accentuates the bride’s beauty on her wedding day.

Bridal fashion has always been a love of Sarah’s. Watching countless episodes of Project Runway and sewing whatever entered her imagination. She has always been fascinated by fabrics - their textures, how they drape and shine in different lights. Her favourite pieces to make were the elaborate and contemporary dresses for textiles.

Life led Sarah to becoming a paramedic, helping people feel better in their worst moments. Sarah also spent years travelling throughout different parts of the world, activating a deep appreciation for the environment, sustainability and fashion throughout the ages and different cultures.

With a passion for helping brides create a unique, custom piece for their special day, Sarah believes it is a privilege to create contemporary pieces for brides to treasure forever.

As the founder of Sahara Bridal, Sarah aspires to educate brides and the wedding industry about sustainable methods. That is why all Sahara Bridal tulle is 100% recycled, made from plastic bottles, polyester and yarn off cuts. Sarah also sources luxury bridal materials from discontinued designs that would otherwise end up in landfill.

Because all of Sahara Bridal’s tulles are 100% recycled and pieces are made to order, Sarah assures brides that they are choosing an environmentally friendly, one-of-a-kind bridal piece. Talk to Sarah about creating your dream Bridal Piece today x
